Yarn: New Zealand Merino DK/8ply

 PLACING RAGLAN MARKERS

Insert four markers without working the stitches. Count 22 (23, 24,26, 27, 29) sts, pm, count 14 sts, pm, count 44 (46, 48, 52, 54, 58) sts, pm, count 14 sts, pm. There should be 22 (23, 24,26, 27, 29) sts left.


Change to 3.75mm.

Round 1: *k to 1 st before marker, yf, k1, mm, k1, yf, rep from * another three times, knit to the end of the round. (8 sts increased)

Round 2: knitting into the back of each yarn forward, knit the round.

Rep last two rounds another 28 (33, 36, 39, 43, 48) times. [348 (392, 420, 452, 488, 536) sts].

Cont without any further shaping until the yoke measures 23 (25, 26, 28, 30, 32) cm from the bottom of the neck ribbing.

 

DIVIDE FOR THE BODY AND SLEEVES

Knit 53 (58, 62, 68, 74, 83), place the next 68 (80, 86, 90, 96, 102) sts onto some waste yarn or a stitch holder, c/on 10 (10, 12, 12, 12) sts, knit 106 (116, 124, 136, 148, 166) sts, place the next 68 (80, 86, 90, 96, 102) sts onto some waste yarn or a stitch holder, c/on 10 (10, 12, 12, 12) sts, knit 53 (58, 62, 68, 74, 83), to the end of the round. [232 (252, 272, 296, 320, 356) sts].
The body and sleeves are finished separately. Remove the raglan markers


THE PIECE IS NOW MEASURED FROM THE UNDERARM.

BODY

Continue to work in rounds of stocking stitch until work measures 32 (32, 33, 33, 33, 33) cm from the underarm.

Change to 3.50mm needles and work in 2 x 2 rib for 4 cm.

Cast off.

SLEEVES

Transfer sleeve stitches from holder to 3.75mm circular needles or DPNs (whichever is your preference).

Pick up 10 (10, 12, 12, 12, 12) sts out of the underarm cast on. [78 (90, 98, 102, 108, 114) sts]

Place a marker in the middle of the underarm cast on stitches. This is the begin and end of the round.
continue to work in rounds of stocking stitch for 2 cm.
